POLICE must today either charge a 27-year-old local man detained after a woman was found dead in a Town flat – or release him by 8pm.
Detective Inspector Phil Breban told a press conference yesterday that police could not ask the court for any more extensions.
DI Breban said it was unclear when Liga Verse had died, but one of her friends had contacted the force on Saturday evening, concerned for her welfare. Officers discovered her body at 8.30pm in a flat above Noodle Box.
Investigators have been examining CCTV to determine her final movements.
