A RECENTLY launched board game gives players the chance to become Seigneur of Sark.

Game of Sark was the brainchild of island resident Gary Clarke, who devised, patented and found a company to make the game, which has now been brought onto the market.

So far it is on sale only in Sark shops and through Le Friquet Garden Centre in Guernsey but it is already proving popular among visitors and locals, with 69 being sold in the first week.

Mr Clarke first came up with the idea some years ago when he was off work ill. Wanting something to do, he began devising the game, initially drawing it out on a piece of wallpaper on his kitchen table. It then lingered in a cupboard for many years before he resurrected it.
