Only Robert dips under 40 seconds

GARY ROBERT was the sole rider to break the 40sec. barrier as round four of the 2011 Holeshot and Relentless Downhill Series took place in Herm.

The course, which has been used as part of the series since 2004, starts at the top of the hill behind fisherman’s cottage and descends very quickly down the hill side.

On a hot, sunny day, the riders had to negotiate a big rock jump, some tight twisty corners, a three-metre long rock garden, a slalom down the field into the final jump over a dry stone wall in to the field by fisherman’s cottage.

It was a good turn out of 26 riders especially from the juveniles.
