Rovers 0; Rangers 3

NEW recruit Danny Le Page made it five goals in two Rawlinson Cup games as Rangers eased into next Wednesday’s final of the pre-season competition.

North await Paul Ockleford’s side next Wednesday and he will know full well that the chocolate-and-blues will not be anywhere near so obliging as injury-hit Rovers were.

Shorn of 10 players who were part of their hot end-of-season run last campaign, a time when they gave Rangers a hammering, Rovers were soundly beaten here.

But for some fine saves from Richard Davey the margin would have been far wider.
