Bad weather is blamed for fewer visiting yachts

FEWER yachts than normal have visited the island this summer season, the harbour master has confirmed.
Captain Peter Gill said the reduction could be down to the weather.
‘We do find this harbour in particular to be very popular because of its location and visitors come here for the whole ambience of the area.
‘However, this season there hasn’t been as many as we would have liked but maybe next year’s numbers will go up.’
Despite the fall in numbers, yachtsmen spoken to by the Guernsey Press said they would continue to visit the island each year.

What exactly is there for tourists to do on this island slep ?? If the weather isnt warm and sunny (like most of the time) and you arnt particuarly into history, and you have children with you, what can you do ?? I look forward to your reply.
