ROWERS relished the calm waters as they put their stamina to the test in the 16.4km Clameur Challenge race.
It saw crews head out from Havelet Bay around the Lower Heads buoy, then turn east of Jethou, north around Epec mark, returning home south around Anfre beacon, north around Moulinet and back into Havelet Bay.
The course was devised by Rowing Club legend Brian ‘Clameur’ Staples as part of the now defunct Little Russel rowing regatta.
The regatta may have gone, but the race remains popular with club members.
