Job hopes ‘good’ for the 50 States wants to lose

JOB prospects for some 50 civil servants who could lose their positions in a States-wide shake-up are good, recruitment consultants said yesterday.
And Chamber of Commerce president Julian Winser (pictured) said that that few people with experience and qualifications were unemployed in the island.
Just under 300 people were out of work at the end of July.
‘Even though the world is economically difficult, Guernsey is holding up and if you are letting people go who have good qualifications they will not find it hard to get a new job. They should be snapped up,’ said Mr Winser.
