Another vital strike from Ross Allen was enough to send Guernsey FC into the next round of the Lemon Recordings Division One Challenge Cup at the expense of Spelthorne Sports.
Allen twisted and turned in the box to fire the Green Lions ahead after 25 minutes after good work by Jacques Isabelle down the right.
The game was relatively even with both sides creating good chances but neither goalkeeper had many saves to make.
It was a hard earned win with the defence having to withstand late heavy pressure, which they did admirably.
