Beavers make new friends as 10 Colonies compete together
Monday 19th September 2011, 2:29PM BST.

MORE than 100 Beaver Scouts competed in an annual sports day at Rue Maingy on Saturday.
The six to eight year-olds from colonies all over Guernsey went head to head trying to win the trophy.
Running, potato and spoon and ball races and welly throwing were just some of the activities in which the children took part.
‘We do this every year because it gives the Beavers the opportunity to meet others in the island and have fun,’ said sports day coordinator Wendy James.
