THE young guard were at it once again for North as an exhilarating attacking performance saw them make surprisingly light work of Jersey Scottish and book their Jeremie quarter-final spot.

On paper, it promised to be a classic as the Channel Islands’ two form sides went head-to-head with North near full strength.

But it was the home side’s rampant youngsters who stole the show.

Only Jack Boyle’s stunning strike in first-half added time kept the tie alive, that effort eating into the chocolate-and-blues’ three early efforts from Nigel Hutton, Matt Loaring and Simon Tostevin.
