HEATHER WATSON failed to reach the final of the singles or the doubles in the WTA Bell Challenge tournament in Quebec City, Canada.
In the singles, the unseeded Watson lost her third WTA quarter-final of the year 6-4, 7-6 to third seed and world number 40 Tamira Pszek, of Austria.
In the doubles, unseeded Watson and partner Kathrin Woerle, of Germany, lost a 13-11 championship tie-break to top seeds Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears, of the United States, after winning the first set 6-4 and losing the second 6-3.
