Jordan still waits
Tuesday 20th September 2011, 2:30PM BST.
NEW ZEALAND under-17 international Rhys Jordan is still awaiting clearance while hoping to make his Guernsey FC debut this evening.
The 16-year-old Sarnian (pictured) has been named in the Green Lions squad for tonight’s massive top of the table clash at Westfield, having returned to the island after representing the Kiwis in the summer’s Under-17 Fifa World Cup.
Should that clearance come through today, he will feature in a 15-man travelling squad that coach Tony Vance has chosen, which also features the return of several senior players after a weekend off from cup action.
If Jordan was to feature, it would mean GFC having two internationals involved, with Ryan-Zico Black having played youth football for Northern Ireland under-21s.
- UPDATE: Rhys Jordan’s international clearance has still not yet gone through, so he is replaced in GFC’s squad for tonight’s game by Simon Geall.

Must undoubtedly be a very good player but it seems like GFC is being a little unfair on some guys who have been plugging along trying hard in the Priaulx league for years that they are overlooked for people that have never been seen to play.
A couple that have gone on the last few trips can’t even make Priaulx or Jackson teams which seems a bit unfair.
That said it is a sepearate club so they can do what they like!
And before anyone accuses me of being bitter no i’m not someone who expects to or wants to be in GFC
Final pont why were no North players selected at the weekend so they could play for their club and the same not applied to the likes of Saints.
