@willy , they obviously had to start at the bottom of the pyramid and work their way up, I dont think the english premier league was gonna let them in in their first season….

It has to be boring, just like LR said – More competitive football will happen in the next couple of season. Why are people so negative.. What is your negativity achieving? Did mummy and daddy give you everything when you were children!?

willy & RobI would hazard a pretty good guess that neither of you have actually been to a game?

Could it maybe just be that we have a very good side in the making here?

I confess to not having been to a local game for 3/4 years but have been VERY surprised at the quality of the local side and has has been mentioned previously they had to start somewhere.
Lets all stop being so bloody negative eh!

    ????????????

yes they have started lower than their standard but I ask 1 question, When they are playing in a higher league will you all still go watch every game when they are the ones getting beat 5-0? i think people will lose interest in GFC and by that point the local game will also have suffered!

I must confess to not being an avid football fan, in fact I never saw a live match until GFC’s first home game. I loved it so much I’ve been going regularly. Our team are a pleasure to watch – skilled, confident and sporting. Quite unlike when I have watched England play on TV. It has to be said GFC can only play this way because the opposition lets them. Of course our lads are too good for this league but I guess it is inevitable, and far preferable to the alternative. In an ideal world we would all like to see the guys beating stronger opposition but meanwhile … Well done lads, you are a credit to Guernsey.
