Second day of marathon effort proves challenging for Stuart

BAD weather and hilly terrain made the second day of Stuart Hardie’s marathon challenge extremely tough but he finished the course.
Mr Hardie (pictured) completed the run from Thurso to Bettyhill in Sutherland in a time of just over 6 hours and 13 minutes yesterday.
The 65-year-old is attempting to run 40 marathons in 40 days.
‘I was very stiff from yesterday and this part was really horrible and wet – some of the hills were horrible,’ he said.
