Sister of ex deputy tries to evict him from mother’s home
Thursday 22nd September 2011, 2:29PM BST.
FORMER deputy Tony Webber is facing eviction from his mother’s home over allegations he refused to pay rent and failed to maintain the property.
The Royal Court action has been brought by Mr Webber’s sister, Beverley Mackay, who is the guardian of their mother Dorothy Webber and manages her affairs.
A court document listed a number of allegations, including the claim that Mr Webber, pictured, is running a business from the property, has only recently started contributing to utility bills and has consistently refused to pay rent.
Mr Webber said he had found it very difficult to find an advocate who was willing to take his case but thought he was close to securing the services of a lawyer through the Guernsey Bar.
The case will be heard in the Royal Court in November.
