POLICE are investigating an incident that has left an elderly lady feeling frightened after her garden was entered and a meerkat lamp was stolen.
Thieves went into Olive Brown’s Castel garden and stole two solar panel lights as well as the unique light between 10pm on Friday 16 September and 8am the following day.
The 72-year-old, who has lived in the house for the past 49 years, said she had never encountered any problems like this before, so was shocked when she found out.
‘My husband and I noticed the missing lamps in the morning and I was really upset. I just don’t understand why anyone would want to take them.’
