Dame Mary is IoD’s lifetime achiever

SPECSAVERS co-founder Dame Mary Perkins has won the Institute of Directors lifetime achievement award.

The shortlist – compiled from suggestions put forward by readers of Director magazine – was voted on by a panel of business experts.

‘I was delighted to be presented with the award,’ said Dame Mary (pictured), who was in London to attend the ceremony.

‘It is a huge honour and great that women in business are being recognised for their achievements.’
