‘If you provide cheaper and better, you’ve got a market’

Sara MurrayHAVING an idea is not the be-all and end-all of being an entrepreneur, according to the founder of Confused.com.

Sara Murray (pictured), who in 1999 founded inspop.com before renaming it Confused.com and selling it to the Admiral Group 18 months later, was speaking ahead of her appearance at the Chartered Management Institute Guernsey branch’s annual dinner and awards.

‘To set up a business you don’t need a big idea, but you do need to embrace failure,’ said Ms Murray.

‘A lot of people say they want to start a business but they don’t have an idea. Well, my advice is to give it a go anyway.’
