Claimants to go Dutch on Holland property

AN ADVOCATE and a businessman have settled their dispute over a claim to a property owned by the wife of debt-ridden former Guernsey restaurateur Howard Holland.
Advocate Peter Ferbrache (pictured) and Stephen Bale have agreed a deal to split the proceeds of the sale of The Cottage, Les Hubits, St Martin’s.
The Co-operative Bank was awarded judgement for £356,845.09 against Margaret Holland by the Royal Court last year.
And in saisie proceedings in April, the bank was awarded an interim vesting order in her property.
At a commissioner’s hearing yesterday, Advocate Rob Fullman, representing the Co-op, said claims against the property had been agreed.
