Tuesday 11th October 2011, 2:29PM BST.
PEOPLE here are more likely to suffer from anxiety and depression than individuals in Jersey and the UK, according to a Guernsey mental health study.
The Guernsey Emotional Well-being Survey attempted to measure mental well-being and the prevalence of anxiety and depression in the island.
Results showed that 21% of respondents experienced anxiety and/or depression to clinical levels.
Anxiety was more common than depression, with 20% suffering from the former and 5% showing signs of the latter – 5% exhibited symptoms of both conditions.
