Friends of marathon man Stuart confident he will finish challenge

FRIENDS of Stuart Hardie are confident he will complete his 40 marathons in 40 days fund-raising challenge now that he has passed the halfway mark.

Having reached the 500-mile stage by walking from Lancaster Canal to Preston in eight hours, Mr Hardie (pictured) is now on day 23.

Close friend Chris Griffiths was confident he would complete the tough task.

‘I imagine he is pretty exhausted but over the moon that he has made it to halfway knowing that there is more behind him now than in front.’
