Quartet return from France with haul of medals

FOUR of Guernsey’s pistol shooters were again successful when they travelled to Alencon in France for the Challenge de Tir Automne 2011.
Tara Laine, Noel Duquemin and Rebecca and Karl Margetts formed a combined Club des Iles team with shooters from Jersey and the Isle of Man to shoot against the French host ATCP Club and the 11 other French clubs who took part.
The weather was a hot 29 to 30C and conditions for shooting were ideal apart from the heat.
Laine shot four competitions and achieved golds for each (standard, sport, air and free).
