BlackBerry service back after three-day outage

BLACKBERRY customers in the Bailiwick have been warned to expect further instability to their service by the company which makes the smartphone.

That alert came even though manufacturer Research In Motion announced late yesterday that the problem had been resolved.

Local users have been kept up to date by text by the telecoms companies.

Wave Telecom’s Barna Kutvolgyi said that as soon as problems began on Tuesday the company sent out texts to reassure users.

Sure has about 3,000 customers using BlackBerrys in Guernsey. Head of mobile Mike Fawkner-Corbett said it had sent regular text updates to them.
