Refurbishment of hotel sees 18 staff laid off
Friday 14th October 2011, 1:00PM BST.
EIGHTEEN full-time staff from Le Chalet Hotel could lose their jobs due to refurbishment work.
The hotel announced it will close from 3 January and re-open on completion of the work – but does not know how long that will take.
Due to the major nature of the work, staff, including waiters and waitresses, chambermaids, chefs and receptionists, have been given notice of redundancy.
The hotel is part of the Vista Hotels group, which is owned by Healthspan.
