Is island’s fittest ‘field’ player in a Gaelic shirt?

HIS former football coach calls him a ‘freak of nature’.
I’d say the bloke’s too good looking to be anywhere near a freak, but I know what Alfie Le Page, recently dispensed with by St Martin’s as first-team coach, means.
In terms of athleticism and fitness, can anyone match or surpass the abilities in local ‘field’ sports of the Irishman Paul Docherty?
The shortlived Saints boss saw enough of Docherty (pictured) in pre-season to be struck by the running capabilities of the man from Galway, who on Saturday played a starring role in Guernsey’s superb Pan European Championship Gaelic football tournament victory at Footes Lane.
And Le Page is not wrong.
