Hospital staff warn of danger of spending cuts

HOSPITAL staff have warned about the dangers of cuts as Health and Social Services continues to make savings.
They have spoken to minister Hunter Adam about their concerns.
The department has stripped £850,000 out of its budget as part of the States-wide cost cutting Financial Transformation Programme.
That was on top of reducing overall expenditure by £3.5m. internally to come within its 2011 budget, which it is forecast to do.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
They could cut cost by looking at the heating..i know that radiators are left on and a window opened because it is too hot.
Lights are on all over the places
it is not only the hospitals that there is wastage but other places that support the hospitals .
Perhaps they should ask a member of staff from each department to look at how much is wasted .

Most States properties are over-lit! What would be the saving in public areas/corridors if every other one was disabled?
Or this is a boring Health&Safety issue?
Also what happens to the heat generated at the hospital, is it just wasted or recycled?
