Sulskis proud to claim title

GUERNSEY International Chess Festival winner Sarunas Sulskis cannot wait to add his Sarnian victory to his CV.
Sulskis, 38 (pictured), was crowned open champion after grandmasters Mark Hebden and Nick Pert drew their respective final matches to confirm the Lithuanian as outright winner.
He would not have considered it a disaster to finish equal first, but thought it ‘excellent’ to have won.
‘I will add this immediately to my list of achievements,’ he said.
