SPEEDBALL is certainly an apt name.
The fast and furious nature of the six-a-side indoor sport is one that could attract many more to the ICG centre in future, judging by the excellent entertainment on show on Saturday.
Six sides from London joined four local teams in the open tournament, which saw them initially split into two groups and play round robin matches of six-minute halves before going through to further pools before play-offs.
The ICG was buzzing throughout, but, as one of the organisers Gill Queripel explained, this was not indoor netball.
