Youths are accused of beating man and stealing his wallet

New Royal Court buildingFOUR youths beat up a man and stole his wallet in an unprovoked attack in Mill Street in May last year, it was alleged yesterday.

Crown Advocate Gary Perry told the Magistrate’s Court how the incident happened at about 1am on Thursday 6 May 2010.

Lucy Gallienne, 21, of no fixed address, and Nikita Carre, 20, of Flat 2, 41, Mount Durand, St Peter Port, and an 18-year-old girl [A], who was 16 at the time of the incident and cannot be named for legal reasons, deny assaulting Richard Henderson and stealing his wallet.

An 18-year-old man [B], who was also 16 at the time of the incident, admits the assault but denies the theft.
