NORTH took top spot in the Priaulx League last night after a seesaw thriller at the Track.

Simon Tostevin, who bagged a brace, was lethal in front of goal as the hosts failed to deal with him or the magnificent Nigel Hutton in a pulsating first 45 minutes of football.

And the visitors had to do it the hard way, too, as a poor start by the chocolate-and-blues saw them a goal down after just two minutes, the lively Robbie Williams the goalscorer.

He was first to a teasing ball in and his shot found the underside of Tom Creed’s crossbar before bouncing back into the keeper’s arms, but having already been adjudged to have crossed the line by linesman Ian Drillot.
