Police officers outside the house in Pedvin Street, St Peter Port, where 44-year-old Ian Garven suffered serious injuries which led to his death six days later. His is one of six deaths currently being investigated by police.
THREE islanders have been found dead in separate and unexplained circumstances within a four-day period, police have confirmed.
The deaths – one on Thursday 20 October and two on Monday – only came to light yesterday after Guernsey Press inquiries.
Police then issued three separate statements providing details and said that the incidents were not linked.
The incidents bring the number of deaths currently under investigation by police up to six.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
This cements what is common knowledge. I am not in the least bit surprised by the above. The services are failing people badly on Guernsey.
These were designed to be implemented for the protection of very people that are at their most vulnerable in life.
Some departments purposely hinder rather than help at the moment. This is to save money. I know a few people well enough to see how affected they are with having their hands tied by more senior members in their departments. I have known this to be their worst fears for quite some time. I am aware of two that are regularly reduced to tears and need to take antidepressants. They need to be on something to get through the miserable work or they would crack up and be a victim at the hands of the same cruel uncaring system they work in.
I have reports of others turning into heavy social drinkers that is clearly a problem in the making.
There are a couple of senior members of staff that are not fit to hold their positions. They make the cruel decisions and expect those lower down to deal with delivering them. No thoughts are even entered into about the consequences. Those that dare question the reasonableness are met with uncomfortable hostility.
The people who work in these placements will identify with this. Before others decide to take their lives maybe it is time to take your concerns to either a deputy or even anonymously to a reporter from the GEP.
The current set up is hell bent on pushing those that need help past the point of no return and over the edge.
Lives are more important than a working relationship that survives on intimidation and bullying. I hope a reporter is able to look at the circumstances of these individuals and establish the common traits amongst each of them. The decision makers need to take responsibility and have their actions questioned. A couple of people should be thoroughly ashamed with themselves.
