BAND Everything Everything have been nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.
The band’s guitarist Alex Robertshaw was born in Guernsey.
The 25-year-old is now based in London but his family still live in the island and he returns when he can.
Everything Everything’s album, Man Alive, has been nominated alongside Adele’s 21, Tinie Tempah’s Disc-Overy and Elbow’s Build A Rocket Boys.
William Hill has given them odds to win of 8/1.
