Festival on shortlist for best newcomer award

THE Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts has been shortlisted in the best new festival category by the UK Festival Awards.

Previous winners of the award included Vintage at Goodwood and Sonisphere.

Judging criteria includes rating pre-event communication and travel options, camping and catering.

Festival organiser Paul Stephen was pleased to be on the national festival radar at such an early stage.
