Alan Chapman has refuted claims that a major computer project is overrunning budget.

A NEW £10.9m. computer project will be finished on budget by the start of 2013, Health and Social Services has said.

Assistant director of performance improvement and business intelligence Alan Chapman said that, despite allegations that the electronic health and social care record project was overrunning, it was progressing well.

But he did warn that, even when it was finished, the system would need regular updating.

The capital cost of £3.9m. for the three-year project was voted through the States in 2006.
