A DOZEN local organisations shared a total of £30,000 at the inaugural Barclays Wealth Champion Charities 2011.
Representatives from each were presented with cheques for various sums at a function at The Venue last night.
A total of 29 organisations made applications for funding. The scheme is open for locally registered charities that are looking for grants for special projects that will make a difference to people’s lives in a variety of ways.
The successful charities received funding from a pot that had been increased from £25,000 to £30,000.

Posting like this on a story about charitable donations to local charities just further discredits your already ludicrous position.
What in particular do you find so upsetting about this act of charity? What pandering?
Perhaps you applied yourself (as you’re clearly in need of some sort of therapy) but didn’t make the shortlist?

dejavu – PB probably applied on behalf of the exodus, but Barclays Wealth took him at his word and considered it so well supported already it was hardly in need of their help…. ;-)
