Cricket centre arson attack
Tuesday 22nd November 2011, 2:30PM GMT.
GUERNSEY’S Indoor Cricket Centre came close to destruction after arsonists set fire to a wheelie bin that ‘went off like a bomb’, its operations manager said yesterday.
Police have been handed CCTV images of the incident, which ICG operations manager Chris Markham condemned yesterday.
‘It is hugely disappointing that people like this exist in our island,’ he said.
‘The whole building could have gone up in smoke and, along with it, many thousands of pounds’ worth of equipment.’

Can anyone say Irony?
The dregs and rubbish of humanity that normal society needs to burn out of it, trying to burn the rubbish that normal society throws away.
I hope they catch these scumbags and throw (away) the book at them. Depending on whether there were people in the building at the time (the article in the Press doesn’t state at what time this happened), they should be charged with attempted murder (if they knew that there was someone inside the building and by their actions would have killed that individual), wreckless endangerment of human life, arson, criminal damage and disturbing the peace (after all an explosion is pretty loud and disturbing).
Good luck to the whole prosecution service in this…..

Let me explain in very simple words ..
Mr G was complaining that the police were not at the scene of this crime as it was occurring
My weird and out of context reply was to the effect that …. Oh sod it, I can’t be bothered :-(

Come on pbfalla! There’s an open goal here for some of your brilliant, side-splitting “RIP” wit.
Surely this sort of thing didn’t happen in the old days?

If caught they would probably burn them at the stake or if more lenient birch them!
