Les Cotils plan backlash may have cost Tasker her seat
Tuesday 22nd November 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
AS ONE door closes another opens – that is the positive attitude Deputy Jenny Tasker is taking after losing her seat on St Peter Port’s douzaine.
The deputy, who also lost her role as senior constable last year, remained upbeat about the future but admitted she was disappointed with the result from last week’s parish elections.
‘It is disappointing not be have been re-elected as I still had issues which still needed to be dealt with in the parish.
‘When one feels so strongly about parish matters then it is a shame I cannot continue,’ she said.
‘But I think when one door closes another door may open and one should always look for opportunities – it is important to be upbeat about this.’
