VITAL repair work was finished on a wooden fishing boat yesterday after it sank in St Sampson’s Marina on Monday.

The Harbour Authority workboat Sarnia helped tow Dolphin Lass to the Marine and General boatyard where repair works were carried out.

Managing director David Norman said the owner asked for the company to take it for the time being and repair certain components that would have been severely damaged, including its engine.

‘We didn’t realise it had sunk until we saw the Sarnia coming around the corner towing it,’ said Mr Norman.
