A TRACTOR restored by three-time World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx has provided a boost to the Caritas Community Charitable Trust’s market garden project.

The charity, which is run by the Rev. Richard Bellinger and helps young adults in difficulty or need, has set up a garden for growing vegetables in a St Peter’s field, with the aim of selling the produce at the St Martin’s weekly farmer’s market.

Caritas patron Mr Priaulx, who also spearheads the Priaulx Premature Baby Fund, received a tractor a couple of years ago for towing his boat.

After spending approximately £5,000 on restoring it, he decided to offer it to Caritas for use in its market garden.

I hope all the necessary licences and permissions have been granted or the armed response team will be surrounding the field disguised as bushes.(only joking, honest.)

Nice one Andrew, no disrespect meant but, it`s good to see that at least one person who has earnt a lot of money is generous enough to give some to the community, THANK YOU.

While I`m praising generousity thanks also goes to the gardening centre who donated the plants to The Hospice during these lean times. I`m sure the patients will appreciate them.

Perhaps there are other businesses or wealthy individuals who could follow suit with some form of needed donations.

My ME fund could do with a top up.(joking again.)
