False rape claim sees woman put in prison
Friday 25th November 2011, 2:30PM GMT.
A WOMAN who falsely claimed that she was raped after her girlfriend caught her cheating with a man has been sent to prison for three months and a week.
Joanna Gallienne, 30, admitted perverting the course of justice when she appeared in the Magistrate’s Court. She also admitted possessing the class B synthetic cannabinoid JWH-018.
Joanna Gallienne told police that she was upset because her partner had gone out with an ex-boyfriend and that she ‘went out and got herself a man’.
Advocate David Domaille said that his client had made a half-hearted allegation against the man that was not believed by police. No one was arrested as a result, he said.
