MORE than 22,000 islanders are on the new electoral roll.

The Register Today, Shape Tomorrow campaign has now entered its second phase in an attempt to get more people to sign up to be eligible to vote in the General Election – including those who have become so disillusioned they have said they will not vote.

The next phase will include people visiting those who have not registered and the announcement of a cash reward drawn at random for one person on the roll.

The Home Department set itself a target of getting at least 35,000 people signed up.
