AROUND 100 fans went to show their support for The Risk in their battle with the X Factor on Friday night.

The mod powerpop group played at the Fermain Tavern as a thank-you to fans who have supported them in their claim against the television talent show.

‘It was a good night and good to see everyone there and thank them for their support,’ said guitarist Colin Leach.

The Risk were supported by Last of the Light Brigade.

The band is currently trying to secure the intellectual property right on the name by trademarking the    The Risk after X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos created a band of the same name for the live shows.
