Union happy to be a part of working group on pensions review

THE review of public sector pensions must be transparent and an even partnership between the States and the unions, according to the regional head of Unite the Union.

Bob Lanning (pictured) will be one of three employee representatives who will sit on a working group which will discuss a review of the pension scheme, along with three members representing the States and an independent chairman.

‘I don’t have a problem with anyone reviewing anything and we are part of it,’ he said.

‘I would have more concerns if it was being done without including the unions.’
