Severe weather warning
Thursday 15th December 2011, 9:34AM GMT.
A SEVERE weather warning has been issued for the Channel Islands today.
According to the Jersey Meteorological Department, south-west winds are forecast to reach severe gale force nine tonight, with gusts of up to 70mph after midnight.
Some structural damage may occur.
Heavy rain this evening may lead to some local flooding.

Anyone going late night Town shopping tonight? I didn’t, I just flew back from Southampton – NOT recommended in a Force 9!!!
