Why have law if it cannot be enforced? – motorcycle trade
Saturday 31st December 2011, 2:29PM GMT.
HAVING a law for trainee motorcyclists but being unable to enforce it effectively is unsatisfactory, a retailer has said.
Tim Millard (pictured) of Millard and Co Ltd was speaking after it emerged there was a four-month waiting list for compulsory basic training.
The delay has soared this year because of restrictions at the training site.
And Mr Millard is not alone. Duque’s Garage owner Ian Lavenne said the Environment Department and the Guernsey Motorcycle Training Scheme, which runs the CBT sessions, should ‘have their heads banged against a wall’ to sort out the problem.
