A DREAM will become a reality tomorrow when the first patients move in to the new Les Bourgs Hospice.

The hospice has been operating from temporary accommodation at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital since the original Andrew Mitchell House was knocked down 18 months ago.

Director of nursing Jo Boyd said tomorrow would mark a new beginning.

‘It’ll be a surreal moment to be using the building for the purpose for which it was designed,’ she said.

Two patients will be the first to move in and Mrs Boyd said the aim was to make the transition as smooth as possible.
