Autocross career gives hearse a new lease of life

AN AUTOCROSS enthusiast has transformed a hearse for the beach at Chouet.
Nathan Pinchemain was given the 17ft 6in 1983 Austin hearse by a friend for free and has raced it several times.
‘When it came to me it was roadworthy so I didn’t have to do much to prepare it for autocross,’ the 20-year-old said.
‘But we knocked the windows out and headlights and also took out the wooden boxes that were in the back.’
