15 women told to get PIP implants removed

FIFTEEN Guernsey women have been told that their controversial PIP breast implants should be removed.

Visiting consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon David Oliver, pictured, advised local women during his first clinic in the island yesterday

His work in the island is part of the new Centre for Modern Medicine – a partnership between an MSG subsidiary and the UK company Ramsay Healthcare.

About half of Mr Oliver’s 30 patients were women who had had PIP implants inserted by other off-island companies.
