Potato Peel Pie scouts for locations – and child actor

DIRECTOR Kenneth Branagh was scouting island locations for the ‘Guernsey’ film yesterday, when he discovered that he had been nominated for an Oscar.
Mr Branagh was making his second such trip to the island when he discovered he had been shortlisted for the best supporting actor award for his role in My Week With Marilyn.
He has been working with local company Spike Productions filming some island scenery as he prepares to direct the film adaptation of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
- Open sessions are being held at the Baubigny Schools from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday to cast Kit, the four-year-old daughter of Elizabeth and a German soldier. Full details in the newspaper.
