War Horse author among big names confirmed for festival

Michael Morpurgo arriving for the UK premiere of War Horse at the Odeon in Leicester Square, London, is one of the big names confirmed for this year’s Guernsey Literary Festival.
THE authors of War Horse and Captain Corelli’s Mandolin will be in attendance at this year’s Guernsey Literary Festival.
More than 40 events will pack the three-day festival, run by the Guernsey Arts Commission, which is returning in September after a successful debut last spring.
War Horse has recently been made into a hit Steven Spielberg movie and islanders will have the chance to hear from author Michael Morpurgo.
Louis de Bernieres, author of the best-selling Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, will also talk about his novels and short stories.
